Description The Commercial Real Estate Analyst is responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting on market trends and commercial real estate activity within Downtown Dallas. This role will provide key insights and data to support strategic planning, stakeholder communications, and Downtown Dallas, Inc. (DDI) initiatives. The Analyst will synthesize data from multiple sources, create comprehensive reports, and maintain a market dashboard to track and communicate key market indicators. This position plays a critical role in enhancing DDI’s understanding of market dynamics and identifying opportunities for business retention and attraction. Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Research and Market Analytics Track a wide range of market analytic tools, subscription services, and public datasets related to all Downtown Dallas market sectors. Access and synthesize multiple industry quarterly reports by market sector to inform DDI initiatives and provide market updates to stakeholders. Record and update key data points related to the Downtown Dallas market. Organize and distill data from various market tracking sources for internal strategic planning. Conduct comparative research to benchmark the Downtown Dallas market against other local and national competitor markets. Compile and maintain regular Downtown State of the Market reports using market data and tracking. Improve and update a Downtown market dashboard to serve as a one-stop fact sheet for key market insights. Identify unique Downtown Dallas market trends and leverage findings for strategic marketing and outreach. Highlight broad market observations and incorporate findings into strategic reports for internal and external use. Rigorously track key market indicators for use across DDI’s organizational programs. Develop custom reports and datasets to support DDI programs and stakeholder/media requests. Provide scheduled updates for fact sheets and tracking points for DDI’s Economic Development programs. Monitor Downtown leasing activity to identify business retention targets and prospective tenants. Deliver updated tracking reports on tenant activity and movement trends to senior leadership. Develop and contribute to custom outreach material to engage and inform Downtown tenants. Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred in commercial real estate analysis, market research, economic development, or related fields. Skills and Qualifications: Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Proficiency in market analysis tools, real estate databases, and data visualization platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting data to stakeholders and leadership. Ability to work independently and proactively discover market trends and opportunities. Experience with creating reports and dashboards to track market performance. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
