Medical Assistant

A fast-paced Medical Center in Rockland County is looking to hire a part-time or full-time Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, has an upbeat personality, positive attitude,exceptional commitment to customer service, and is a good multi-tasker.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet patients and escort them to treatment roomsin a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit
- Perform vitals:blood pressure, weight, temperature, and pulseand record inpatient chart
- Secure patient information and maintain confidentiality by safeguarding medical records and accurately completing diagnostic and procedural coding
- Upkeep of inventory and cleanliness of the exam rooms
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous medical assistant experience required
- Strong computer skills and fluency in EMR systems
- Friendly personality that can connect with clients and staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to relate with sensitivity to a culturally diverse clientele
- Availability to work Sundays and some evenings, preferred
