Low Voltage Technician

Low Voltage TechnicianJob DutiesAs a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and supporting a variety of commercial low voltage systems. Your responsibilities include:Install and service access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm, fire alarm, and structured cabling systems.Install, terminate, label, and test low voltage cabling.Mount and install cameras, card readers, door hardware, alarm devices, and network equipment.Read blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams.Perform equipment testing, commissioning, and basic system programming.Troubleshoot system issues and complete service calls.Maintain accurate project documentation and service reports.Keep company vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized.Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and project managers.Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.Requirements2 to 5 years of commercial low voltage installation experience.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders and lifts.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to use smartphones, tablets, and basic computer software.Willingness to travel to customer sites throughout Central Indiana.Desired SkillsExperience with one or more of the following is preferred, but not required:Commercial access control systemsVideo surveillance systemsIntrusion alarm systemsFire alarm systemsStructured cablingFiber optic cablingCommercial networkingCable testing and troubleshootingReading construction drawings and wiring diagramsBasic system programming and commissioningWhat Were Looking ForWe hire people for their character as much as their technical ability.
