About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Wausau, Wisconsin, 54401!

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with a heavy telemetry focus at a 4:1 patient ratio
• Manage a diverse patient population including sepsis, GI bleed, trauma, alcohol detox, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, stroke, and colostomy/ileostomy care
• Care for stable, weaning patients on ventilators and tracheostomies , as well as patients requiring chest tubes and insulin drips
• Float to other inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity areas
• Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation requirements
• Comply with all facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience - firm requirement
• Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
• Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required

• ICU experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred

• Expected 48 hours per week on a fast-paced, high-acuity unit offering broad clinical exposure across a wide range of complex patient conditions
