HR Business Partner

SCHERDEL Sales & Technology, Inc. is a subsidiary of SCHERDEL GmbH, with operations across the globe. We seek an HR Business Partner to support plant leadership at our Muskegon, MI facility. Job Function The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership, supporting operational excellence through effective people strategies and ensuring alignment with global HR standards. Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor to Plant Manager and functional leaders (Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance). Align workforce strategies with plant KPIs, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Provide coaching to front‑line supervisors and managers. Support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Lead investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution. Ensure consistent application of policies and legal compliance. Maintain a positive employee relations environment. Mitigate risk proactively. Drive talent reviews and succession planning. Identify and develop high‑potential employees. Support recruitment for plant roles. Ensure effective onboarding for retention. Support headcount planning and organizational design. Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support plant changes, ramp‑ups, and restructuring. Analyze turnover, absenteeism, and workforce trends. Provide insights to plant leadership. Partner to improve productivity and cost outcomes. Lead coordination of plant training programs. Support onboarding and certification processes. Develop leadership capabilities. Ensure implementation of HR programs. Drive engagement and culture initiatives. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred. 3–5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Generalist or HRBP roles. Experience in manufacturing or automotive environment strongly preferred. Experience supporting plant operations and front‑line leadership. Strong knowledge of U.S. and Michigan employment laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA).
