Requirements Facility Name: Swedish Specialty: Hospital Medicine – Nocturnist IMLC IS NOT AN OPTION FOR THIS FACILITY For temps providers MUST have CO licensure at time of present An additional nocturnist from 5p-5a also handles about 4-6 admissions they do crosscover also. There is also an APP nocturnist who handles crosscover mainly but can be delegated 1-2 simple admissions/consults on exceptionally busy nights. The 7p-7a nocturnist only does admissions no crosscover or responding to rapids/codes. Specialty support: virtually all specialists are available in-house with the typical exceptions: Rheum Endocrine Derm tele-derm is available etc. Position specific questions Reason for the need? Yes varies. Not that many on nights. PPH: 8-10 What’s the patient population? Trauma center? Yes but trauma surgery is primary on all trauma cases. Types of cases? Acuity? What does the support staff look like? All typical support is available How will follow up cases be handled? when applicable- inpatient or outpatient n/a Specialty Specific Questions: What are the shift times? 7a-7p Is call involved? No How many patients are they rounding on per day? n/a Will they round in the ICU? No ICU is closed What does support staff include? An additional nocturnist from 5p-5a also handles about 4-6 admissions they do crosscover also. The 7p-7a nocturnist only needs to respond to rapids and urgent crosscover needs within a 2 hour window from 5a-7a after the other nocturnist shift has ended.
