Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Dermatology provider for short-term locums coverage in Lighthouse Point, Florida. This outpatient private-practice assignment is primarily focused on follow-up visits, simple biopsies, and cryotherapy, with no major surgical cases anticipated.

Assignment Details

• Coverage: November 23, 2026
• Shift: 6:30 AM 2:00 PM
• Outpatient clinic / private practice setting
• Approximately 20 patients per day
• Tight clinic schedule
• Mix of established and new patients

Position Highlights

• Short-term Dermatology locums opportunity
• Pediatric through geriatric patient population
• Majority of patients are middle-aged to elderly
• Primarily follow-up visits
• Cryotherapy represents a significant portion of the workload
• No major surgeries anticipated
• New graduates considered
• Paper charting

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient Dermatology care
• Complete follow-up visits from prior procedures
• Evaluate new and established patients
• Perform simple biopsies
• Perform cryotherapy
• Manage general Dermatology conditions
• Perform minor office-based procedures as appropriate
• Complete documentation using paper charts
• Work independently for most clinical tasks with MA support available

Procedures & Skills

• General Dermatology
• Cryosurgery / cryotherapy
• Biopsies
• Excisions
• Electrodessication and curettage (ED&C)
• No Mohs surgery required
• Mohs cases are referred out
• No major surgical procedures expected during this assignment

Support & Technology

• Practice owner onsite
• Medical Assistant support
• MA will assist with scribing, note taking, and other clinical tasks
• Provider will perform most tasks independently
• Currently 1 exam room
• Practice is transitioning to a nearby location with 2 exam rooms
• EMR: Paper charts

Requirements

• Active Florida license required
• BLS required
• Board Certification preferred but not required
• DEA not required
• Cryosurgery experience strongly preferred
• New graduates may be considered
• Flexible experience requirements

Organization & Team

• Outpatient private Dermatology practice
• Small clinic environment
• Primarily follow-up and minor procedure coverage
• Majority of workload expected to involve cryotherapy and simple Dermatology procedures
