Cook Position

Under general supervision, prepares, cooks, and serves meals in large quantities to students, clients, and staff in a cafeteria setting; performs other job related work as required.

This office is establishing an open eligibility list for the Cook position. Candidates on the eligibility list may be considered for any full-time, part-time, or limited-term positions occurring within 6 months of the established list for this job classification. NOTE: "Additional Questions" are included in the application form and will be used in the initial screening process. Applicants considered most qualified by a screening panel will continue in the selection process. It is in your best interest to answer these questions as fully as possible. LOCATION: This position is based at the Sly Park Conservation and Environmental Education Center near Pollock Pines, CA. Pollock Pines is located 50 miles east of Sacramento, CA. Typical work schedule is as follows: Full-time work schedule: Monday - Thursday 10:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Friday 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EXAM PROCESS: Qualified applicants who pass the applicant screening process will receive a notice indicating the next steps in the process, which is a performance and oral exam.
