Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Position Overview This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a medical oncology setting, caring for adults and geriatric patients with various types of solid tumors throughout their cancer journey, including treatment and end-of-life care. Unit Details Cares for patients diagnosed with various cancers, including: Breast Cancer Lung Cancer Prostate Cancer Pancreatic Cancer Colon Cancer Esophageal Cancer Focus on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention. Handles patients with medical-surgical issues. Work Environment Staffing ratios aim for 1:4, with a possibility of 1:5. Variable weekend scheduling based on unit requirements. No set or blocked scheduling is available. Requirement to float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed. Shift Assignments Shift assignments may include days, nights, or a combination, based on department needs. Assignments are reviewed every four weeks, with changes dependent on staffing priorities. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills are necessary. Oncology nursing certification (ONS Chemo) is preferred. Previous travel nursing experience is an advantage. Charting System Familiarity with computerized charting systems, specifically EPIC, is beneficial.
