KABC Freelance Graphic ArtistABC7 is seeking a Freelance Graphic Artist/Broadcast Designer. This meticulous graphic artist should be highly creative and solution oriented.Come join our team and be prepared to showcase your graphic design skills!The shifts available vary from Monday-Friday early-morning to late-evening. Weekend days/nights as well. This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a Company designated location on an ongoing basis.What You Will DoCollaborate with the Content/Marketing and News Departments to create engaging news and digital graphicsWork closely with teams to design and produce creative concepts for key artwork across all platforms and audience touchpointsEnsure that all visual content resonates with audiences across various platformsRequired Qualifications & Skills2 years of experience in broadcast televisionExpert technical skills in the Adobe Creative Suite: After Affects, Premiere, Illustrator, PhotoshopStrong portfolio of work with an elevated design estheticExperience in brand promotion/presentation and storytellingKnowledge of current events - news, entertainment and sportsMaintain brand authenticity throughout all creative workBuild design solutions that visually convey a particular message, idea or conceptDesign for broadcast, digital and printDeliver and present concepts and designs to Creative and Marketing partners and project team membersAssist in the production of a variety of assets and has understanding of file preparation/deadlines/print layouts and printing processes for print and digital applicationsPreferred QualificationsBilingual Spanish/English is a plusBasic knowledge of Ross XPression Designer/Maps would be preferablePreferred EducationBA/BFA degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media or relevant work experienceThe pay rate for this IATSE Union role in Glendale, CA is $47.09 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
