This contract position plays a crucial role in K-12 education, providing specialized instruction and advocacy for students with visual impairments across diverse school settings. As an onsite and itinerant TVI, you will collaborate closely with district staff and travel between several districts—including Southern, South Eastern, and Dallastown—to deliver meaningful, individualized support.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Pennsylvania certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required
• Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
• Ability to adapt lessons and learning materials to varied needs
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities for interacting with school staff and families
• Reliable transportation for itinerant travel within York County

Your Daily Impact Will Include:

• Providing direct instruction and consultation for students with visual impairments in multiple school districts
• Implementing and adapting curriculum based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Working side-by-side with district staff to ensure accessible learning environments
• Monitoring and documenting student progress across various locations
• Offering professional guidance to staff to support effective accommodations and strategies
