Position Summary The Biomedical Equipment Technician II - Channel Services will install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision. The role will serve as a technical advisor to medical and clinical staff and assist in developing specifications for new clinical equipment. Responsibilities Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex biomedical equipment. Repair, install, and calibrate complex biomedical equipment. Inform supervisors of repairs, inspection status, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns. Work with, direct, and document subcontractor, vendor, and outside service technician activities to ensure proper service delivery. Maintain biomedical expertise through ongoing training and education. Assist with Service Operations Special Projects as assigned. Ensure accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, and service history. Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and all applicable regulatory agency compliances. Build and maintain customer relationships and discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians. Represent TriMedx services positively by integrating core values into job performance. Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status and verify completion of security analysis for new customer equipment. Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices. Make recommendations regarding inventory management. Consistent travel is required—up to 75% of the time, primarily regional. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment. Valid driver’s license required; travel may require use of personal vehicle. Complex computer skills, including system administration, error code interpretation, hard‑drive defragmentation, power supply replacement, and networking concepts. Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Education & Qualifications 2‑year degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent experience required. Requirement waived if the applicant has received the TRIMEDX Trained Certification or completed an equivalent biomedical related certification program.
