Experienced Occupational Medicine APP - (PRN)

Overview Experienced Occupational Medicine APP – (PRN) FirstHealth of the Carolinas—a private, not‑for‑profit healthcare network recognized by Becker’s Healthcare as a Top 150 Place to Work (three consecutive years)—is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our established occupational medicine and wellness‑focused service on a part‑time basis (2–4 shifts per month). Position Highlights Autonomous practice environment suited for seasoned professionals comfortable practicing independently. Will provide coverage for Troy, Sanford, Southern Pines and Hamlet. Hours are 8am‑5pm. Perform pre‑placement, routine, and exit physical examinations for employees. Provide timely and accurate diagnosis, treatment for employees and dependents, and management of work‑related injuries and illnesses for employees. Advise employees on workplace health, safety, and injury‑prevention strategies. Hourly rate plus paid malpractice with tail coverage. Qualifications PA must be a graduate of an AMA‑approved Physician Assistant program and have NCCPA certification. NP must be a graduate of a nurse practitioner education program and have national certification. Minimum 3 years of APP experience required, prior Occupational Health experience preferred. Other preferred qualifications include background in workers comp, working at employer sites, experience conducting veteran exams and/or NC disability exams. Must have a clean background, NC licensure, and NC DEA. DOT certification, and AHA BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
