About the Role Manning Kass has an exciting opportunity for an Associate with a minimum of 2+ years of civil litigation experience to join our team in one of our California offices! This specialized team defends clients in high-stakes litigation, representing commercial corporations, and advising clients on risk mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively interact with clients, businesses, and legal teams. Associates collaborate closely with lead attorneys throughout all litigation phases—from case evaluation to discovery through trial—focusing on strategic thinking to meet client objectives. We are looking for self-motivated candidates eager to learn and grow in their legal careers. Responsibilities Participate in court hearings, conduct site inspections, and take or defend depositions. Draft comprehensive written discovery, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, requests for documents, and requests for admissions. Evaluate, analyze, assess, and implement effective litigation strategies. Manage communications with clients proactively throughout the litigation process. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. 2+ years of civil litigation experience. Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing. Demonstrated experience in premises liability litigation, preferably in a law firm environment. Strong legal research and writing skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Company Offers Competitive salary starting at $125,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience.
