Five Star Bath Solutions is seeking a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused Service Technician / Installation Support Specialist to join our Metro Detroit team.

This is a hands-on, versatile position for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with tools, and helping customers. The primary responsibility will be completing service and warranty work on previously installed bathroom products. Based on company needs, this team member may also assist lead installers on bathroom renovation projects and deliver materials, products, and supplies to residential jobsites.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, professional in customers’ homes, comfortable performing a variety of construction-related tasks, and willing to step in wherever support is needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Service and Warranty Work

• Inspect, diagnose, and correct service concerns involving installed bathroom products.
• Complete minor repairs, adjustments, replacements, and warranty-related work.
• Service bathroom wall systems, shower bases, bathtubs, fixtures, accessories, trim, caulking, plumbing components, and related products.
• Identify the source of leaks, product concerns, installation issues, or customer-reported problems.
• Take photographs and document the condition of the work before and after completing service.
• Clearly explain completed repairs and recommended next steps to customers.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate unresolved concerns to management.
• Protect customers’ homes by using appropriate floor coverings, work-area protection, and cleanup procedures.
• Ensure each service visit is completed professionally and meets Five Star Bath Solutions’ quality standards.

Installation Assistance

• Assist lead installers with bathroom demolition, preparation, installation, and cleanup.
• Help remove existing tubs, showers, wall systems, fixtures, and construction debris.
• Assist with installing shower bases, bathtubs, wall systems, accessories, fixtures, trim, and related bathroom products.
• Carry tools, materials, and products into and out of customers’ homes.
• Prepare work areas and keep jobsites clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow the direction of the lead installer and comply with company installation procedures.
• Help complete final jobsite cleanup and removal of debris.
• Support installers as needed to help projects remain on schedule.

Material Delivery and Operational Support

• Pick up and deliver bathroom products, tools, materials, and supplies to residential jobsites.
• Verify that products and materials match the assigned job before delivery.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
• Inspect products for visible damage and report shortages or concerns before installation.
• Obtain delivery confirmations, photographs, or signatures when required.
• Assist with organizing inventory, staging jobs, and maintaining company tools and equipment.
• Communicate with the production team regarding delivery status, missing materials, or jobsite concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work vehicle when operating a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bathroom remodeling, construction, home improvement, maintenance, handyman services, plumbing support, or a related trade is preferred.
• General knowledge of hand tools, power tools, construction materials, and jobsite safety.
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete minor repairs independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to manage assigned appointments responsibly.
• Willingness to perform service work, assist installers, and make material deliveries based on daily business needs.
• Ability to follow written work orders, installation instructions, and company procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving history.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned office, warehouse, or jobsite.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

• Safely lift and carry bathroom products, tools, and materials weighing approximately 50 pounds.
• Stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and work in confined bathroom spaces.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Load and unload materials from trucks, vans, or trailers.
• Work in occupied residential homes and active construction environments.
• Perform physical work throughout the scheduled shift.
• Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
