We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial HVAC projects ranging from tenant improvements to large-scale commercial, municipal, education, healthcare, and government facilities.

Responsibilities

·       Prepare complete and accurate HVAC estimates from plans and specifications.

·       Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

·       Perform quantity takeoffs for sheet metal, equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, and accessories.

·       Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.

·       Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontract costs.

·       Prepare detailed bid proposals and pricing summaries.

·       Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.

·       Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.

·       Coordinate with project managers and field personnel during project turnover.

·       Maintain estimating databases and current pricing.

·       Work with general contractors, owners, engineers, architects, and vendors throughout the bidding process.

Qualifications

·       5+ years of commercial HVAC estimating experience preferred.

·       Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and sheet metal construction.

·       Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

·       Experience estimating commercial projects including schools, healthcare, municipal, industrial, and office buildings.

·       Knowledge of labor production rates and HVAC installation methods.

·       Strong communication and organizational skills.

·       Proficient with Microsoft Office.

·       Experience with estimating software such as FastEST, QuoteSoft, Trimble, AutoBid, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar software is preferred.

·       Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Field HVAC or sheet metal experience.

·       Design-build estimating experience.

·       Mechanical engineering or construction management background.

·       Experience with public works, prevailing wage, and government projects.
