deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Developer in Huntsville, AL.Position Description:As a Software Developer on the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Fire Control (GFC) Engagement Planner team, you will work in collaborative environment to understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms and may participate in code modernization and translating Ada code to C++. The algorithms and capabilities implemented by the Engagement Planner team are mathematics and physics based complex solutions that will be highly visible to the GWS customer, Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed in support of the Engagement Planner team.Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in STEM related fieldExperience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in STEM related field, and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience, or 0 years with a PhD not to exceed 10 yearsExperience with solving highly mathematical and physics based complex problemsExperience analyzing and implementing optimization algorithmsRecent and extensive Experience Developing Software in Ada or C++Willingness to become highly proficient with Ada software developmentQuick to learn and absorb new concepts and informationRecent MATLAB and Python ExperienceMust have an Interim or Active Secret ClearanceUnix/Linux Operating System ExperienceMust be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environmentApplicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance.
