Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract role supporting elementary students with moderate to severe needs in a dedicated Special Day Class setting. This assignment offers a chance to foster growth and learning while working alongside a caring team of professionals, all within a supportive and collaborative environment. Enjoy the stability of a long-term assignment, running through June 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California credential in Moderate/Severe (ESN) Special Education (current and active)
- Experience working with elementary students in a Special Day Class is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Skilled in collaborating with families, related service providers, and educational staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

What You’ll Do:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe disabilities in an elementary SDC setting
- Design and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs in alignment with IEP goals
- Create and maintain a supportive, engaging classroom environment that fosters both academic and social-emotional growth
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, making instructional adjustments as needed
- Collaborate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
