Shape your career in a supportive educational environment as a Special Education Teacher serving a high school Resource Specialist Program (RSP). Located in the Morgan Hill area, this full-time contract position extends through June 2027, offering you the opportunity to work with engaged educators and dedicated students. In this role, you will help high school learners with mild-to-moderate needs reach their full potential through individualized instruction, collaboration, and compassion.
What you bring to the table:
- Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential (verification through a CTC screenshot required)
- Previous experience supporting high school students in a Resource Specialist Program is highly valued
- Skillful in differentiating instruction, managing IEPs, and working closely with students, families, and fellow educators
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing classroom environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth
In this role, you will:
- Develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) to address the unique strengths and needs of each student
- Implement effective instructional strategies and provide accommodations to maximize student engagement and achievement
- Collaborate regularly with general education staff, counselors, and administrators
- Maintain thorough documentation and monitor student progress, reporting updates as required
- Support students’ transition planning and advocate for resources to ensure their continued success
