Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls (P3) – AIM‑9X Program Finance Team Location: Tucson, AZDate Posted: 2026‑03‑23 Job Summary The Principal Specialist (P3) will partner with the production program team on the 2nd Source Rate Capacity effort, providing critical financial oversight and guidance. The role includes supporting quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs), contract financial forecasts, and manpower forecasts, as well as contributing to the execution of contracts and contract negotiations. The specialist will also be responsible for earned value reporting, cost‑type cash forecasting, CDRLs, and IPMRs. Responsibilities Partner with the production program team to provide financial oversight for the 2nd Source Rate Capacity effort. Support quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs) and contract financial forecasts. Develop manpower forecast models for the program. Assist in contract negotiations and definitization efforts. Prepare earned value reporting and analyze earned value metrics. Generate cost‑type cash forecasting reports. Maintain and produce CDRLs and IPMRs as required. Apply finance and program controls knowledge to problem‑solve and communicate findings to cross‑functional teams. Work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Business or equivalent experience; or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of related experience. Minimum of 5 years of related experience; if holding an advanced degree, a minimum of 3 years is required. Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with key financial tools such as SAP, BW/AO, EDIT+, and/or PMX. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills. Independent, self‑motivated, and highly organized with a strategic thinker mindset. Preferred: experience with Estimates at Completion (EACs), program cost and schedule tracking, proposals, and sales & rate forecasting. Demonstrated experience with Business Warehouse, PRISM, and Operations/Material dashboards. Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop applied solutions and process improvements.
