RCS Model Design Engineer

Description You will be the RCS Model Design Engineer for the team responsible for designing and integrating Low Observable (LO) components and test articles. What You Will Be Doing As the RCS Model Design Engineer you will be responsible for delivering engineering documentation, CAD drawings, and supporting integration and testing efforts across multiple disciplines. Responsibilities Assist the team in the design, development, and testing of RCS materials, components, and full‑scale models for program objectives and RF testing. Use CATIA to develop and revise drawings, models, assemblies, and installation engineering CAD files. Support team members with design and manufacturing knowledge and experience. Complete design modifications to improve product quality or facilitate manufacturing operations. Plan integration efforts for components and test articles. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, RF Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. Project management or leadership experience. Willingness and ability to travel frequently (50+ days per year) to manufacturing and test facility in California. Strong communication, organizational, planning, and time‑management skills. Experience with CAD software. Desired Skills Experience with manufacturing methods, composites, and 3D printing. Experience with aircraft production support, processes, and coating. Creative problem‑solving skills. Experience with integrating materials, components, and/or technologies onto air vehicle platforms. Experience using CATIA or similar CAD software for part design, assembly, and drawings. Experience with coatings, integration, application, standards, methods, and testing. Experience with RF or LO range testing and with RF/LO material testing, measurements, and integration onto physical platforms. Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience managing projects including gathering technical requirements, generating estimates or proposals, and executing to schedules and budgets.
