Requirements / Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent. 3. Supplemental coursework, which may include workshops or seminars for clerical training and two years of increasingly responsible clerical experience involving public contact (must show in education/work history) 4. Contact information for three (3) professional references: current/former supervisors/coworkers - must be provided on application in professional references portion, please include email addresses. Not to be confused with the letters of recommendation, these are to be provided on the application itself. Required to be uploaded in attachments: 1. Current resume 2. Targeted cover letter (maximum 2 pages) describing how your education, training, professional experience, and/or leadership experience demonstrate your sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of students with special needs and their families 3. Two (2) professional letters of recommendation from current AVUSD supervisors/coworkers (both must have physical signature and be dated within one year) - digital signatures not accepted 4. Typing test: adjusted/net speed 50wpm minimum on a 3-5 minute test (results must show name, WPM results and length of test) - online tests accepted 5. DMV printout - drivers record request: must be within last 30 days (no older) - please see link under "links related to this job" for CA DMV printout website Preferred qualifications 1. Valid CPR/First Aid certification preferred (no online courses) Submitting documents that appear to be altered, falsified, or manipulated may disqualify applicants from the current recruitment and from future employment opportunities with AVUSD.
