Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The Surgical Technologist will prepare the operating room, sterilize and set up instruments and equipment, provide intraoperative support to the surgical team, and help ensure patient safety and positive outcomes. This position supports labor and delivery and obstetrics/gynecology procedures including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Certified Surgical Technologist required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an operating room environment.
• Knowledge and experience working in labor and delivery settings preferred.
• Experience with EPIC documentation system preferred.
• Ability to perform procedures common to OB/GYN services: vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, hysterectomy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on a labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum (LDRP) unit.
• Familiarity with GE equipment used in perioperative care.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0730.
• May be floated to other units as needed when census is low.
• Unit staffing typically includes 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech.
• Scheduling requirements: as needed.
