Certifications: BLS, NRP

Must-Have: Knowledge and experience working in a labor and delivery setting. Advanced skills needed in NRP.

Description: The unit has a total of 7 beds with patient ratios variable based on acuity. Staffing includes 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech. The type of equipment used includes GE. Documentation is managed through an EPIC system. Scheduling is conducted as needed. Staff may be floated as needed when census is low. The procedures performed on the unit include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, and hysterectomies. Unit guidelines and policies are in place to ensure compliance and efficiency. Scrubs are provided as the required uniform.
