Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures. The clinician will prepare the operating room, sterilize and set up instruments and equipment, and provide intraoperative support to the surgical team to promote patient safety and efficient workflow. This role is located in Anchorage, AK at a hospital facility and supports obstetrics/gynecology (LDRP) surgical cases including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential from an NBSTSA-accredited program.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a certified surgical technologist in an operating room environment.
• Knowledge and experience working in labor and delivery settings required.
• Experience with EPIC documentation preferred.
• Familiarity with GE equipment preferred.
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in OB/GYN operative procedures such as C-sections, vaginal repair, hysterectomy, D&C, D&E, tubal ligation.
• Previous work in a hospital LDRP unit preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0730.
• Unit: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum).
• Patient ratios variable based on acuity.
• Staffing model typically includes 2 RNs and 1 surgical tech on the unit.
• Scrubs provided as required uniform.
