Senior Orthopedic Technician

Job Summary The Senior Orthopedic Technician is an experienced member of the Sports Medicine clinical care team, providing advanced orthopedic technical services and specialized procedural support to patients and medical care providers. Working within the full scope of applicable certification and formal training, the Senior Orthopedic Technician performs a comprehensive range of orthopedic procedures, applies specialized technical expertise, and supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Working collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals, the Senior Orthopedic Technician serves as a knowledgeable clinical resource while supporting treatment, procedures, and an exceptional patient experience. This position supports the Sports Medicine service line across the Sacramento (C Street) location and the Edwards Family Athletics Center in Davis, based on operational needs. Clinical duties performed within the Orthopedic Technician scope of practice are supervised by a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) as required. Clinic and Department management provide direction for administrative responsibilities and functions that do not require LIP supervision.
