Quality Engineer

Role - Quality Engineer Job type - Regular Full Time Location - Shelby Township, MI, US Education Bachelor's Degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered Experience 3-5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC methodologies Experience supporting new product launches and customer quality requirements Experience performing internal, supplier, and process audits Experience leading corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar root cause methodologies Experience working directly with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality systems preferred Technical Skills Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Knowledge of metrology equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and attribute gauges Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis Experience with gauge calibration systems and measurement system analysis (MSA) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quality reporting tools Knowledge of engineering change processes and document control systems Leadership & Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively with Operations, Engineering, Customers, and Suppliers #J-18808-Ljbffr
