Host Position at Glass & Vine Glass & Vine is looking for a host to join our beautiful outdoor venue in the heart of Coconut Grove! Glass & Vine is an upscale outdoor dining venue known for its warm hospitality, beautifully landscaped setting, and seasonal menu. We create relaxed yet refined experiences for guestsperfect for date nights, special occasions, and weekend gatherings. We're looking for upbeat, guest-first personalities to join our front-of-house team and help deliver the excellent service our guests expect. Responsibilities & Duties: Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant Helping guests with reservations and guiding them to their table Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area Providing customers with menus and answering any initial questions they may have Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff Answering phones and scheduling reservations with large parties Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (preferred) Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry Positive attitude and interpersonal skills Good communication skills and phone etiquette Flexibility when working alternating shifts Ability to stand for long periods of time OpenTable experience (preferred) Compensation: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
