Located near Fairfax, VA, the position supports students at a site in Alexandria, helping them achieve greater independence and functional abilities in their educational environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Previous experience in a school-based PT setting strongly preferred
• Understanding of IEP processes and tailoring interventions to student goals
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, professionals, and families
• Sensitivity to the unique needs of students with diverse backgrounds and abilities

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to a caseload of 8 students, ages 12-21
• Provide compensatory time as owed for each student
• Maintain thorough session documentation and progress reports
• Consult with school teams to implement strategies that support student participation
• Contribute to IEP meetings, goal development, and student evaluations
• Offer guidance to school staff and families for integrating PT strategies in the classroom and at home

This contract position starts as soon as possible, with an end date pending. The expected time commitment is a total of 16 hours per month, with flexible scheduling to meet service needs and compensatory requirements.
