Position Overview

The Dishwasher plays an important role in keeping Shook Shakery clean, organized, and running smoothly. This position is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitized dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas while supporting the rest of the team during daily operations.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, willing to help wherever needed, and able to keep up in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Schedule is Thursday-Monday 2pm-10:30 pm

Job Summary

Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, containers, shake equipment, and other kitchen items.

Properly put away clean dishes, utensils, and equipment.

Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and free of clutter.

Maintain clean sinks, drains, counters, shelving, and back-of-house areas.

Sweep and mop floors and promptly clean spills.

Empty trash and replace liners as needed.

Restock dishes, utensils, cleaning supplies, and other items throughout the shift.

Follow proper cleaning, sanitation, and food-safety procedures.

Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions.

Help maintain an organized and sanitary workspace throughout the shift.

Assist with opening, closing, and general cleaning duties.

Support other team members during busy periods when needed.

Notify a manager of equipment problems, safety concerns, or low cleaning supplies.

Complete assigned cleaning checklists and additional duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

No previous restaurant experience required; we are willing to train the right person.

Dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.

Willingness to follow directions and established procedures.

Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Ability to stay productive and on task throughout the shift.

Must follow all Shook Shakery policies, safety procedures, and workplace expectations.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive movement throughout the shift. Team members must be able to safely lift and carry items commonly used in restaurant operations and work around water, cleaning products, hot equipment, and potentially slippery surfaces.
