We are seeking an energetic and experienced Activity Director to lead engaging programs for residents at our Assisted Living community in Cumming, GA. The ideal candidate will have a motivating and outgoing personality with a passion for enriching the lives of seniors, including those with memory impairments.

• Develop and coordinate a comprehensive activity program that fosters social, physical, intellectual, and recreational engagement for residents.

• Create and distribute a monthly community newsletter and activity calendar to keep residents and families informed.

• Conduct resident interest assessments to tailor activities that align with their preferences and history.

• Establish and oversee a volunteer program to enhance resident engagement.

• Coordinate with caterers, entertainers, decorators, and other vendors for special events .

• Foster social connections among residents to enhance their quality of life.

• Chaperone and facilitate off-site outings for residents.

• Collaborate with the marketing team on community events.

• Assist in resident leasing and marketing efforts when needed.

• Lead and participate in community decorating for holidays, seasons, and special events.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with residents, families, and staff.

• Understanding of aging-related needs and principles of senior social work.

• Ability to plan, organize, and manage a diverse range of activities.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Compassionate and patient approach when working with older adults.

• Proficiency in computer skills for scheduling, record-keeping, and activity planning.

• Must be 18 years or older .

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with seniors (preferred).

• Experience in senior living or memory care preferred .

• Ability to lift and move 25+ lbs and engage in physical activity (squatting, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods..
