Sr. Accountant (Brazil & Caribbean)

ACCOUNTANT (BRAZIL & CARIBBEAN)RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in the accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly accounting financial information for Starlink subsidiariesPrepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserves, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency conversions as required to support StarlinkPartner with local service providers as needed to review and coordinate international statutory filings, including bridging statutory financial and tax books to U.S. GAAP, meet international regulatory and tax compliance needs, including VAT/GST and maintaining proper documentation for local country tax refunds/creditsSkilled in managing complex accounting reconciliation processes and delivering accurate financial information under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.Experience dealing with tax compliance, transfer pricing documentation, and e-invoicing processes across multiple jurisdictions in Latam.Support efforts to improve processes and reporting, including standardization effortsPrepare schedules and supporting documentation related to external audit requirements, and interact with external auditors as requiredParticipate in special projects as requestedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree4+ years of accounting experienceBilingual in Portuguese and EnglishPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or other business disciplineBig 4 accounting firm or multinational corporate experienceExperience supporting Brazil and any other Latin American/Caribbean countries operations in multinational environmentsProficient computer skills, including ExcelExperience with US GAAP and international accounting standards (IFRS or other local accounting standards), and multiple currency environmentsBasic understanding of indirect tax systems across Latin America/CaribbeanExperience with MS Dynamics 365 or other ERP accounting systemsAbility to analyze a high volume of transactions and data; SQL experience is a plusDemonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listeningStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to listen attentively and communicate information clearly and effectivelyDemonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities concurrently with shifting time frames, and meet deadlines, self-starter with a high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow-throughDemonstrated ability to work in a team, facilitate effective team interactions, and foster a positive work environment; willingness to assist teammates to achieve departmental goalADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlinesThis position is based in Hawthorne, CA, and requires being onsite - remote and hybrid work is not consideredCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay Range:Level 3: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
