APP Hospital Medicine - Nocturnist Shift

Position Overview AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Swing Hospitalist APP for our 201‑bed hospital in Littleton, CO. Compensation: $154,653 to $162,970 annually. Shift hours: 2:00pm to 2:00am. 173 12‑hour shifts per year (approximately 14‑15 per month). Principal Duties and Job Responsibilities Respond to Code Blue and rapid response events. Provide admission services for the Emergency Department, incoming transfer patients, and direct or emergent admissions in accordance with the hospital on‑call schedule and patient assignment guidelines. Provide cross‑coverage, consultative, and co‑management services for subspecialty services within the scope and designation of privileges. Accept transfers of care from other clinical service lines when the patient is deemed appropriate for the hospital medicine service. Provide transfer center call for incoming patients in accordance with the hospital on‑call schedule. Provide timely evaluation of inpatient and observation‑based hospitalized patients. Provide internal sign out consistent with standards of care. Participate in nursing and staff education when solicited by the Lead Hospitalist, CNO, CMO, or COO/CEO. Participate in committees and meetings as assigned. Respond to all clinical, documentation, and billing queries in a timely fashion. Maintain current understanding of the regulatory environment related to patient status consistent with national guidelines. Encourage in‑network utilization of resources for continuity of care unless specified by the patient or if expertise is not available in the system. Respond to communication from hospital staff in a timely manner. Preferred Knowledge and Skills Excellent clinical skills and communication skills. Strong commitment to providing excellent care that is team and patient‑centered. Inpatient APP experience preferred. Comfort with admitting higher volumes and complex cross‑coverage. Education and Experience Requirements Graduate of MSN or DNP Nurse Practitioner Program. Graduate of Physician Assistant, PA‑C Program. Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements Full federal and state prescriptive authority. Eligibility to work in the United States. Current ACLS certification. Colorado medical license.
