Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients in homes and various facilities. This role supports invasive and non-invasive patients through assessment, ventilator management, education, documentation, and on-call services.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and care needs.
- Manage ventilators for invasive and non-invasive patients.
- Provide respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients in homes and various facilities.
- Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory care and equipment.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and care provided.
- Provide on-call respiratory therapy support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of respiratory therapy experience.
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- State respiratory care practitioner license.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
- Experience with mechanical ventilation and airway management.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to multitask while remaining detail-oriented and organized.
- Empathetic, kind, and friendly approach to patient care.
