Job Title: Staff Accountant

Pay: $70,000 to $75,000

Hours: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (Monday–Friday)

In this role, you'll help maintain accurate financial records, support monthly reporting and reconciliation processes, and ensure the integrity of financial information. You'll work alongside management and accounting professionals in a collaborative environment that values accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.

What You'll Do

As the Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring information is complete and accurate.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing schedules and reviewing account balances.
• Monitor financial transactions and expenditures, ensuring proper documentation and accurate account coding.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, audit preparation, and the maintenance of internal controls.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to address accounting questions, improve processes, and support day-to-day financial operations.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable business-related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of professional accounting or financial experience.
• A solid understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software and financial management systems is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• The ability to manage assignments independently while collaborating effectively with a broader accounting team.
• Experience with month-end close, audit preparation, budgeting, or internal controls is highly valued.

Location & Schedule

This position is on-site in the Akron area , offering a standard full-time schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with no overtime required.
