SAP Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis, Requirements Management

• Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, IT teams, and implementation partners to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
• Lead requirements gathering activities through workshops, interviews, process reviews, and discovery sessions.
• Document and maintain business requirements, process maps, user stories, use cases, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices.
• Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, scalability, and user experience.
• Support SAP S/4HANA upgrades, enhancements, integrations, reporting solutions, and digital transformation initiatives across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Customer Service, and Commercial functions.
• Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to evaluate solution options, assess impacts, and support design decisions.
• Support portfolio planning, business case development, project intake, change control, and governance activities.
• Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures, training materials, and user guides to support business adoption.
• Support data governance, reporting, analytics, KPI development, and master data initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.

Testing Strategy, Validation & Quality Assurance

• Develop and manage testing strategies, test plans, testing schedules, test scenarios, and test scripts for SAP and enterprise application initiatives.
• Coordinate and execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, End-to-End Process Testing, and Validation activities.
• Work closely with business users, developers, system integrators, and functional teams to ensure complete test coverage and successful issue resolution.
• Lead defect management activities, including defect documentation, prioritization, tracking, retesting, and closure.
• Validate business processes, system functionality, integrations, reporting outputs, KPIs, and data accuracy against documented business requirements.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, data quality reviews, and reporting validation to ensure business readiness.
• Support Computer System Validation (CSV), GxP, SOX, SDLC, and audit requirements through appropriate testing documentation and validation evidence.
• Maintain complete testing and validation documentation, including test scripts, execution results, defect logs, traceability matrices, and audit support materials.
• Support deployment, cutover, hypercare, and post-production stabilization activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing processes, quality standards, and enterprise application support practices.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, SAP Analyst, Tester, or similar role supporting enterprise applications and business process transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments, including system enhancements, upgrades, integrations, testing, and process improvements.
• Demonstrated experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and managing business, functional, reporting, and system requirements.
• Experience developing process maps, functional specifications, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability matrices, and other project documentation.
• Proven experience planning, coordinating, and executing System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, and End-to-End Process Testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), change management, release management, and solution deployment practices.
• Working knowledge of integrated SAP business processes across Finance (FICO), Supply Chain (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Manufacturing (PP), Quality Management (QM), Customer Service, and related business functions.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, IT teams, system integrators, and external partners to deliver technology solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise reporting, analytics, data governance, data quality, and master data management principles.
• Experience with test management, defect tracking, and project management tools such as Jira, SAP ALM, SAP Tricentis or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal, written, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as Medical Device, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology, is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV), GxP, SOX, IT General Controls (ITGC), and audit/compliance requirements is required.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, migrations, enterprise reporting solutions is required.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, ISTQB, SAP Certification, Lean Six Sigma, or related credentials are a plus.
