It offers comprehensive services including primary and specialized care, emergency medicine, surgical procedures, and wellness programs. Operating as a Level III Trauma Center, it boasts a 264-bed acute care facility and a team of over 400 physicians and 1,800 staff members.CRNA - ResponsibilitiesThe CRNA is responsible for pre-anesthetic evaluation.Shall prepare an appropriate health history, conduct an appropriate physical exam, request pertinent diagnostic studies, select, obtain, order, and administer pre-anesthetics medications.Obtain informed consent for anesthesia, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence.Shall perform preoperative and intra-operative care.Obtain, prepare, and use all equipment, monitors, supplies, and drugs used for the administration of anesthesia, performing, and ordering safety checks as needed.Select, obtain, or administer the anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, and blood products necessary to manage the anesthetics.The CRNA performs all aspects of airway management, inserts peripheral venous catheters, and manages Bier Blocks.Provide appropriate non-invasive monitoring modalities utilizing current standards and techniques.Evaluate patient response during emergence from anesthesia and institute pharmacological or supportive treatment to insure patient stability during transfer.Provide post anesthesia follow up evaluation of the patient's response to anesthesia and surgical experience.Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the post-anesthesia period.The CRNA initiates and administers pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system during the post-anesthetics.CRNA - RequirementsHave graduated from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education.Must have and maintain board certification or recertified by AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.Possess a current license as a registered professional nurse and hold a current license to practice medicine in the state of Pennsylvania.Have at least one full year (12 months) of experience as a CRNA.Possess BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.Position OverviewCase Mix - Call - OR Rooms - Charting - Schedule - Credentialing Timeline - Supervision; Ratio - StipendsOBOrthoPediatrics (minimal) - Second call with beeper 1-2 times a week and occasional 24-hour in-house call - 9 OR; 2 Cardiac; 2 OB; GI, EP, IR suites - Epix - 7a-3:30p - 45-60 days - CRNA medically directed; docs do cases occasionally - $250/weekly car rental $107/daily lodging/housingKurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
