Job Summary The Senior Program Manager will manage a consistent portfolio of programs related to a set of customers or to a product line. This role is a management position with a team of Program Managers as direct reports. Location Twinsburg, Ohio 44087 – Onsite Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accountable for achieving program objectives from contract awards (S3 milestone) to removal from service (S12 milestone). Ensure global coordination of all activities to deliver expected program figures as defined in the Medium Term Plan (MTP). Ensure consistency with customer expectations and limit risk exposure generated by program activities to an acceptable level. During the bid phase (S1 to S2 milestone), validate RC and NRC estimates and associate assumptions such as schedule and industrial logic to produce a sound business case at S3. Manage Technology Readiness Level and Manufacturing Readiness Level during the R&T phase. Operate with customer satisfaction, profitability of the business plan and control risk level on the programs under scope. Apply program processes, participate in construction and approval of the business plan during the bid phase (S1 to S2). Build program MTP and monitor program performance. Ensure program reporting (internal and external) and efficient steering. Deploy corrective action in case of drift. Organize program reviews and PROMPT milestones for programs in development and in service. Support program audit and participate in program improvement processes. Adhere to safe work practices and contribute to health, safety, and environmental culture. Occasional travel (once per quarter), both domestic and international. Other duties may be assigned. Evening/night hours and extra hours during business peaks may be required. Qualifications Report hierarchically and functionally to the Director of Programs. Direct Manager of Program Managers. Interface with Division Leadership and members of other organizations. Delegate from the Director of Programs to coordinate activities and decide orientation of programs. Work within the matrix with functional leaders to ensure alignment of program activity. Supervise activities of program managers allocated to the own programs. Coordinate with Program Managers to maintain a consistent approach toward customers. Education and experience: a bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with at least 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ability to develop and coach team members in financial management, contractual management, engineering development management, and program management. Demonstrated career progression in job responsibility and relevant education/training. Strong background in managing program financials, business cases, and contractual negotiation. Training and experience in applying Program Management standards and tools (program planning, monitoring and control, integrated program management and risk management). Understanding of constraints of operational activities (order fulfilment process, turnaround time, procurement cycle, learning curve, efficiency, production burden, cost escalation). Proven experience leading cross‑functional program teams and working in a matrix organization. Leadership, project/program management, negotiation, customer management, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience within an engineering environment. Aerospace and/or defense program management experience. Supervisory Experience Year‑to‑year budget between €5 and €25 M. Year‑to‑year revenue between €10 and €60 M. Managing a team of 1 to 7 people. Direct contact with one or two main customers. Managing activities across multiple countries. Physical Demands May require long periods of sitting and the use of typical office equipment. Lifting less than 20 lb. Prolonged repetitive use of upper extremities. Computer keyboarding, monitor, mouse use, reaching forward, manipulating fingers and wrists, neck bending and turning.
