Paradigm Care & Enrichment Center is a warm, welcoming childcare center providing care and early learning experiences for children from 6 weeks old through Kindergarten . We are looking for dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to join our team!

Our Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where children can learn, play, and grow. Previous childcare experience is welcome, but not required. We are happy to train the right person who has a positive attitude, is dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with children.

Being a great team player and having reliable attendance are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Assistant Teachers help support the daily operation of the classroom, including:

• Assisting Lead Teachers with classroom activities and lesson plans
• Supervising children and maintaining a safe, attentive classroom environment
• Engaging with children through play, conversation, learning activities, and positive interactions
• Modeling appropriate behavior and helping children develop healthy social and emotional skills
• Assisting with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care needs
• Preparing and serving snacks and light meals
• Helping children during meals, rest time, transitions, indoor play, and outdoor play
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Completing daily cleaning and light housekeeping responsibilities
• Communicating and working cooperatively with Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, directors, and other team members
• Following Paradigm policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is dependable and committed to maintaining reliable attendance
• Has a positive attitude and works well as part of a team
• Is patient, caring, and comfortable working with young children
• Is willing to learn and receive coaching and feedback
• Can successfully complete required background checks and fingerprinting
• Is willing to complete required childcare training, including CPR and First Aid
• Can meet all applicable childcare licensing requirements

Previous experience working in childcare or early childhood education is preferred but not required . Candidates currently pursuing a degree or credential in Early Childhood Education or a related field are encouraged to apply.
