Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Access Control in Highlands NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal you will monitor and patrol hospital areas helping to maintain a secure environment for patients visitors and staff. Responsibilities include routine patrols access control incident response assisting with behavioral situations and supporting morgue-related procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while working with a caring agile reliable innovative team that acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including situations involving patients visitors staff and healthcare operations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings grounds entrances parking areas and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control visitor management and direction-giving while maintaining a professional and courteous presence.
• Document incidents observations and security-related activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals when required.
• A state county or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
