Marketing Project Manager

Job Title Marketing Project Manager Job Overview Kalamazoo Valley Community College is a comprehensive, fully accredited, public, two‑year college located in Michigan. We offer associate degrees in more than 60 areas of study and 50 certificate programs. The Marketing Project Manager will design, coordinate, and disseminate information internally and externally about the college, its initiatives, activities, and opportunities. The role supports the promotion of the College and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum through a variety of media channels. Duties Write, edit, layout, and distribute news releases, articles for college publications, program guides, brochures, flyers, posters, and other media informational items. Disseminate information to interested outside organizations. Produce information that promotes the College and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Coordinate the writing and distribution of publicity and schedule advertising to promote the College. Write speeches for college officials, upon request. Serve as coordinator for the design, development, and implementation of various social media tools and video scripts to aid in student recruitment as well as the promotion of the College and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum. Knowledge and Skills Desired Knowledge of journalistic writing styles. Knowledge of format, design, and layout for information purposes. Knowledge of the administration and utilization of various social media tools. Skill in project management and providing excellent service to others. Skill in collecting, composing, and editing data for writing and/or commentary. Skill in disseminating information orally and in writing. Skill in coordinating activities associated with producing publications. Minimum Qualifications Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example would be a bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations or a related field and five years of related experience. Physical Demands None Work Hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pay Rate $50,695 minimum per year. Starting salary will be based on qualifications exceeding what is required.
