Flat Laser OperatorTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Flat Laser Operators for projects located in or around Salt Lake, UT. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $25-$30/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Set up and operate a flat laser cutting machine used to process steelCut various steel thicknesses according to production requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specificationsVerify machine setup and material prior to productionMonitor cutting quality and make appropriate adjustments when necessaryInspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality expectationsPerform routine machine inspections and basic preventative maintenanceIdentify worn components, consumables, or equipment concerns before they create production issuesMaintain accurate production and equipment documentationMinimize scrap and material wasteMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaAssist with training and developing less-experienced laser operatorsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other production employeesRequirements:2+ years of recent experience operating a flat laser with steelExperience cutting multiple steel thicknessesAbility to read and understand fabrication drawings and blueprintsAbility to independently set up and operate a flat laser with minimal trainingUnderstanding of basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenanceStrong attention to cut quality, measurements, and finished-product specificationsAbility and willingness to train newer operatorsReliable attendance and ability to consistently work the scheduled night shiftStrong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and productivityCompany Details:Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.Our comprehensive benefits include:Tradesmen+ Rewards Program – earn points for hours workedVacation PayHealth insurance401(k) retirement savings planTradesmen International is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability" Be Safe" from fraud!
