The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients across the lifespan presenting within emergent or urgent conditions in a fast paced, high acuity environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and the ability to respond effectively to trauma, medical emergencies, and disaster situations. Must be competent in the use of all equipment in the specialty. On call may be required.
Education & Licensure- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are all required
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) - preferred.
- Clinical competency required within 3 months and every 3 years.
- High Risk Competency required within 3 months and every year.
