About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: 2 years strongly preferred License: State RN license or Multi State/Compact RN license Certifications: BLS, Clienttion Badge Must-Have: - Scrub Experience - Open to accommodating block schedule (Requires manager's approval upon request) - Float within scope to meet facility needs Description: The position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse, responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a busy surgical environment. The shift is from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm with a holiday rotation. Weekend shifts will require up to one shift per month (Saturday or Sunday). On-call requirements include up to four shifts per month and possibly two weekend call shifts. This role includes both scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures. The facility is a teaching hospital with a Level 1 trauma designation, covering various surgical specialties, including Trauma, Transplant, and Robotics. The nursing team comprises Registered Nurses and Certified Surgical Technologists, with a significant emphasis on collaboration and teamwork. The Operating Room is a dynamic and nurse-driven environment utilizing cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate will possess experience in a Level 1 trauma center and familiarity with EPIC charting. This role requires the ability to adapt to diverse patient needs and surgical situations. Travelers should be prepared for potential assignments related to emergency response during hurricane season. Completion of pre-start compliance is mandatory prior to the assignment start date.
