Store Manager in Training

Compensation Pay Range: $16.90 – $24.90 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums as per circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Responsibilities Assist store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store. Objective is to receive hands‑on training preparing for a management position in another store or future location. Supervise professional and retail operations of the store and team members. Professional: All delivery and installer service specialists. Retail: All parts and merchandising specialists. Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members as appropriate. Communicate information from weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members. Train new team members assigned to the individual. Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management. Support store manager with safety compliance and ensure all team members receive appropriate training in all areas. Monitor and reinforce safety expectations. Make sales calls with or without the store manager; may be assigned weekly customer calls. Support store operations as assigned, manage delivery fleet, and maintain records for each vehicle. Maintain store neat, clean, and organized at all times. Electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll management. Learn to manage key components of gross profit. Monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse. Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use. Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily. Review monthly P&L statement with store manager and discuss areas of opportunity. Qualifications High School Diploma. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program. Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately. Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems. Desired O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience. Completed O’Reilly management training program. Advanced computer skills. A.S.E. Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits Competitive wages & paid time off.
