Janitor PositionAs a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities, contributing to all individuals' overall well-being and satisfaction. In this role, you will perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and inviting environment for our clients and staff. Your contributions will be essential in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.Responsibilities:Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors and surfaces.Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, ensuring they are well-stocked with necessary supplies.Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, following proper waste management procedures.Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to maintain a polished appearance.Maintain and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying the supervisor of any low stock or equipment issues.Assist in setting up meeting rooms and event spaces as needed.Ensure common areas, such as hallways and reception areas, are always clean and presentable.Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services is an asset.Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.Understanding of health and safety practices in a cleaning environment.Company Benefits include group health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan, PTO, and holiday pay.
