BEACON PROJECTS Deduplicating and stitching together millions of airline customer records to increase FFP membership Predicting optimal inventory levels to reduce idle time for a supply chain services company Using data signals to optimize fundraising for the largest U.S. children’s hospital charity Architecting and implementing data strategy for the largest online theater ticketing platform Applying ML to improve credit cardholder debt collection outcomes for a global contact center WHAT YOU’LL DO Analyzing data flows within ERP, CRM, IoT, and other workflow systems Redesigning data pipelines and architecture to maintain a single source of truth Standing up cloud infrastructure on AWS (e.g., Redshift, EC2) and managing ETL tools (e.g., Fivetran, dbt) Implementing and maintaining BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and integrations (Salesforce, Epicor, Adobe, etc.) Leading data ingestion and transformation processes into modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) Collaborating with business teams to define KPIs and prepare data for analytics and reporting Managing high-priority foundational projects like customer definition and order flow streamlining WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH You’ll lead and collaborate with a cross-functional Beacon team consisting of Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists. You’ll also work closely with client-side data analysts, engineers, IT stakeholders, and business leaders in a dynamic, agile environment. As the key delivery lead, you’ll ensure that Beacon’s solutions align with both the technical landscape and strategic goals of the client. RESPONSIBILITIES Be the face of Beacon for assigned client engagements Act as a bridge between Beacon’s SMEs and on-the-ground technical staff Collaborate with client executives, business leaders, and product managers to align on goals Define project scopes, milestones, and responsibilities across stakeholders Assign and monitor technical workstreams, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment to business objectives Lead client stand-ups, executive updates, and milestone reviews Own and maintain the client’s data and technology roadmap Champion non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, and security Architect cloud-based services and ensure high availability and automation in delivery Establish and uphold documentation, architecture standards, and agile processes REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of proven technology leadership experience 4+ years of experience engineering, architecting, and delivering technology solutions Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and passion for data and emerging technologies Ability to develop solutions tailored to client needs while remaining technology-agnostic Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Experience managing IT and analytics project delivery in agile environments Strong leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork across functions Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and building scalable data services Deep knowledge of data architecture, data mapping, and business process improvement Ability to handle multiple initiatives and drive execution independently Familiarity with process redesign, operational analytics, and cross-functional stakeholder management WHO YOU ARE You are a highly collaborative leader who can set aside ego to listen, learn, and lead by example. WHAT YOU'LL DO Analyze the data flowing through the existing ERP, CRM, IOT and other workflow systems Structure and redesign the data flows with the aim of maintaining single source of truth for all master data and consistent reporting Set up and maintain the appropriate data infrastructure to support the above plan on an AWS environment (ex: Redshift, EC2, ELT tools, data wrangling tools) Maintain the highest security standards across the entire data eco system Implement and maintain BI & reporting tools Integrate with workflow systems such as Sales Force, Epicor, Adobe Marketing, etc. Acquire, ingest, and process data from multiple sources and systems into a data warehouse WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH The TPM will provide day-to-day leadership and direction to a technical team made up of Data Analysts, Data Engineers and Data Scientists. Beacon’s project team will also work and collaborate closely with this fast-growing client’s internal data analyst, data engineer, and IT department following an agile scrum project delivery method. This is not a “go-to- your-cubicle” role, but rather a dynamic environment with active cross-team communication and collaborative problem solving focused on building tools for improving company-wide effectiveness with data, initially focusing on two foundational data projects: Customer Definition and Customer Data Cleansing; and Order Flow Analysis and Data Streamlining RESPONSIBILITIES Be the face of Beacon with this and other Beacon clients. Act as liaison between Beacon SME's and Beacon’s on the ground project staff. Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders and product management to ensure data solution teams deliver on business needs in a consistent & predictable manner. Manage the delivery of data solutions including integration with internal and external systems. Help define project scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities in collaboration with technical stakeholders and business partners. Assign and monitor work of technical personnel, ensuring that project steps are in alignment with business objectives, on-time and within budget (manage Jira, stand-up meetings, presentations, client updates, etc.). Establish, plan, and execute major client milestone reviews and decision gates to complete the client’s data solution and project life cycle. Own a client’s data and technology roadmap and ensure successful execution of the roadmap. Drive innovation into client data solutions through technology. Champion non-functional requirements like high availability, scalability, and performance. Enable rapid iteration processes while maintaining stable data solution delivery for clients. Architect and build scalable cloud-based services and supporting delivery processes for clients. Collaborate with clients’ senior stakeholders to ensure documentation, architecture guidelines and standards are created, updated and followed. Promote a culture of autonomy and initiative, while driving engagement teams to get stuff done. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years proven technology leadership experience. 4+ years engineering, architecting, and delivering technology solutions. BS in computer science or related field mandatory Intellectual curiosity and passion for data, technology, and applied machine learning. Ability to offer solutions based on client needs while being technology agnostic. Must communicate technical jargon to non-technical people in an understandable way. Proven, successful IT project management skills. Customer-oriented work ethic and ability to foster a sense of teamwork across all members of the project team extending to the customer. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and foster teamwork. Experience building services & automated solutions on public clouds (Amazon, Azure, and GCP). Experience driving adoption of new technology into existing complex systems. Deep knowledge of data architecture and delivery methods and techniques. Ability to thrive in a dynamic culture, respond to changing priorities and coordinate development of multiple critical initiatives.
