Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RN for the Labor and Delivery unit to provide exceptional maternal care. This role involves managing antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care for laboring and postpartum women, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs using electronic fetal monitoring equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Follow unit policies and protocols for medication administration, including Pitocin and magnesium sulfate.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with procedures such as Cesarean sections, FSE and IUPC placement, and neonatal care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with valid state licensure.
• At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience.
• Hold BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Must have Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring training.
• Knowledge of obstetric protocols and maternal assessment procedures.
• Able to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to unit schedules.
