Senior Bank Teller/Senior Financial Services Representative

Overview SmartBank is looking for a Senior Financial Services Representative to deliver exceptional customer service and support our clients. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service by meeting clients’ needs efficiently and friendly. Enhance SmartBank’s image through proactive, client‑driven service. Process complex financial transactions for clients. Embodiment of SmartBank’s core values and purpose. Serve as primary contact for clients, directing inquiries to the appropriate channels. Perform daily lobby management: greet clients, offer hospitality, introductions, and refreshments. Accurately receive deposits and payments for all account types, verify cash and checks, issue receipts, and credit funds in accordance with bank policies. Provide clients with account information. Cash checks and accept withdrawal requests per bank policies; refer questionable transactions to supervisor. Provide special services such as redeeming US Savings Bonds, issuing Official Checks, coin deposits, and coin orders. Process payments for credit cards, local utilities, and other services, ensuring daily cutoff transmission to agencies. Comply with federal, state, and local banking laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in cash handling and customer service. Six months of banking experience, including new account openings, Cash Vault custodian duties, and ATM custodian duties. Knowledge of general accounting (debits, credits, balancing). Ability to cross‑sell banking products and services. Sound judgment and decision‑making using established guidelines. Knowledge of Teller Drawer equipment (PODs, recyclers, traditional cash drawers). Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook), typing, and ten‑key proficiency. Strong math, written, and oral communication skills. Detail oriented, team player, positive attitude, high integrity. Reliable attendance and willingness to accept new ideas and change. Work Conditions Routinely stand, sit, bend, and stoop; lift up to 40 pounds. Long periods of standing may be required. Frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers. Visual acuity necessary to prepare and inspect documents. Auditory ability to hear normal conversations. Occasional travel to branch locations, training sessions, or meetings.
