This full-time opportunity, available immediately through the end of the school year, provides a meaningful way to make a difference in students’ lives while further developing your expertise in special education.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (State of IN or eligibility)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field required
- Previous experience working in an elementary environment highly valued
- Strong understanding of Life Skills programming and adaptive curriculum
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with general education staff, families, and support personnel
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction that addresses the varied needs of students in a Life Skills classroom
- Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to promote student growth and independence
- Collect, track, and analyze student progress data, using findings to guide instruction
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and related records
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for each learner
